Summary

Not able to connect compute instance using public IP

Content

Hello experts,

I have created a vcn with CIDR(10.0.0.0/16) and a subnet under that vcn with CIDR(10.0.0.0/24).I have also created an internet gateway with below route rules.

  • Target Type: Internet Gateway
  • Destination CIDR Block: 0.0.0.0/0
  • Target Internet Gateway

I did not create a separate security list as I see TCP connection with port 22 is already included in the default security list. Now I have created a compute instance under that vcn and subnet.I am not able to ping that compute instance or login using ssh.

Please guide me how to troubleshoot this login issue.
