Recurring Billing - do NOT update Duration based on Contract End Date

As per below Doc

FA: SCM: OM: Recurring Billing Sales Order Submission/Validation Results In Error : The request failed because you must specify the duration or contract start date and contract end date for the subscription or coverage on the order line. (Doc ID 2703434.1)

We've noticed that if the Contract End Date is pushed out, then the Duration field is automatically updated. This seems to be a new "feature" in 20C, but we do not want this. Instead, the Contract End Date field should error out if it is not in line with the Duration/Period fields. I don't know if we have the ability to control this behavior, .
