Business Unit Headcount vs recognition

I am trying to create a pivot table to show headcount of business unit against our recognition values which employees have been awarded. So I can clearerly see a % of awards in each Business Unit . I`m having difficulty pulling through headcount into this pivot table, as soon as I do the headcount numbers change. Is there a way I can do this? thanks for your help
