Multiple customers towards the same projects

Hi

How do we handle multiple customers towards the same project?. We are a public university and the scenario could be two co-founders for the same project. Customer1 is paying 60% and customer 2 is paying 40%.

As we understand Cloud, we then need to create two contracts, one for each customer. One projects is created with both customers assigned at projects level (we can't see that it is possible to assign customers at task level as we could on premise). Each contract is assigned to the same project (contracts line).

Revenue is generated 'as incurred'. Billing is event based.
