OTBI vs BIP filtering clarification

HOw OTBI handles filtering verse BIP

Content

Hi,

Seeking clarification/advice on the following scenario.

We have an OTBI report that pulls in a person's work extension from Workforce management - Worker Assignment Real Time.  There is not criteria/filters on the phone number.  Only criteria is on Person type and assignment status.  The OTBI correctly pulls in one row per person with the correct phone extension.

We needed to rewrite this report as a BIP because we need to generate the file as a pipe delimited text file.  I know you can do this via the OTBI using a data model, however, the challenge is that some of the fields are generated with double quotes and we have not been able figure out how to eliminate the quotes.  That being said we are writing this as a BIP report.  The BIP is working, except that some individuals are pulled in twice as they have multiple work phone records.  We can't restrict by primary phone because they are not all flagged

Howdy, Stranger!
