Assignment number as a column in Worksheet Page Layout

Is it possible to add Assignment Number as a column in the Worksheet Layout? I'm surprised it doesn't seem to be one of the standard ones? It would be very useful both in terms of managers with employees with multiple assignments but also as administrators when we are checking the worksheet has pulled through the information we are expecting it to.
