Substitution Variables with Alias Values not recognized in MR Prompts

We have MR Reports in narrative reporting with substitution variables (EPBCS) as default in prompts. If the sub var value is set to the alias in EPBCS, it is not being recognized in the prompts though the alias table is used in the report. 

If the member name is used, it works.
