Updating KFF tree versions causes OTBI Analyses to fail when created in “General Ledger – Balances R

Summary

We are testing changes to the KFF segment values and hierarchies (aka trees). All seems fine with all changes, and GL OTBI reporting until ‘something’ happens and then reports return no results.

We have a very simple Fusion Financials instance (single currency, single ledger, low transaction volume) and are making standard changes to the KFF trees in DEV1 and TEST, using all the standard ESS processes (to publish, create XML rules and import).  Something has happened in both instances (albeit 10 days apart) and despite re-running all the processes (and deleting tree versions, etc.) we can't recover.  

• All seems broadly fine up to the point of failure (i.e. we have successfully updated values, updated hierarchies and structure and changed the number of levels).
