How to include YTD wages earned another PSU through custom element?

hi Team,

I need to displayYTD gross earnings for an employee in payslip. Consider the case where employee is rehired/transferred to a different PSU in a year. Payslip shows only consolidated wages for current PSU and does not include previous wages earned. There is no such balance dimension to get wages at person level.

One way we are planning to do is to create a custom information element and capture the previous PSU wages through a status processing rule - fast formula. Is there any other option to achieve this?
