Ability to turn off an Action in Manager Self service Skill

Extension of skills allows us to only update and add new intents on delivered skills. Looking for ways to turn off one specific action in Delivered Action type in MSS intent and make use of custom intent or custom skill to handle the same functionality in a different way where the experience is different from OTB behavior. 

Even when we update the utterances of that specific action type by someother actions, its recognized by the OTB Entity action types and fetches response from OTB MSS intent. 

Are there any other ways to turn off and action action type in MSS intent while extending the skill or Cloning is the only option?
