Element with no hours input in element entry generating hours in payroll process

Content

Hi,

We have an element for regular pay that works in tandem with other element like regular salary and regular wages to generate pay based on the number of regular hours entered.

The issue that we are facing is that when we enter a flat dollar amount adjustments for regular pay element, the element results in the flat dollar amount being applied but it comes with an unwanted 40 hours for hourly (weekly) employees and 80 for our salaried (bi-weekly) employees if the hours field is left blank in the element. How do I shut off this default hours entry that is occurring? I've gone into the element configuration and reviewed the input values and I do not see default values in the hours input values or anything. What am I missing?

Howdy, Stranger!
