The Oracle Commerce service now includes new and updated REST API endpoints which control the shopper checkout and order submit process. These updates provide client applications a more intuitive, consistent and granular set of endpoints for manipulating incomplete orders – which we call a ‘cart’, for both logged-in and guest shopper.

The benefits of these changes include:

  • Improved mobile support: Increased server-side order processing simplifies client application business logic
  • Smaller request and response payloads: enabling faster response times
