Can a checklist be triggered when using a workforce compensation plan (for promotions)

We need to trigger a checklist when doing promotions via workforce compensation plan

Is there a way to trigger a checklist from a workforce compensation plan? we are using the plan to do promotions, and would like to trigger a a checklist for the managers. But it looks like the checklist is not built for the "group compensation" action type.
