Cannot Change Liability Distribution Account for Open Purchase Orders (PO) that were uploaded

We have beginning balance (Open) POs that were uploaded during our data migration to the production instance. We noticed that when the POs were received and invoiced, the liability distribution account can no longer be changed. The AP analyst cannot edit this anymore. Is there another way to edit the liability distribution account?
