Locking and unlocking entities with groovy / Rest APIs?

Hi,

We want to add a new entity structure. When adding the ownership, the entities get impacted in the existing entity structures (why?). This forces us to unlock all entity structures (x5) for all years (x5) and scenarios (x8) to consolidate and translate them and lock them again (x2). 5x5x8x2 = 400. This means a lot of work. Consolidating and translating we can schedule so that helps. Is there a way to schedule / automate the unlocking and locking as well, for example with Groovy/Rest APIs? If I read the manuals I do not think so, but I still have hope...
