Global Functions; Get String Values from HCM Params

Summary

Get assignment attributes when assessing Person Email

Content

Hi,

We have a requirement to validate email formats (specifically the email domain) based on user person type. The first part of this is easy enough and indeed we can achieve the complete requirements by creating a rule based on Person, traversing to Person Email and Assignment, however we are slightly concerned as this will trigger on ever Person update.

Just wanted to double check if there is a way of getting to assignment details from the Person Email object? The Global Function, Get String Values from HCM Params, would seem like the natural place add further useful functions, will this be extended in the future? Any ideas?

Howdy, Stranger!
