Checklist with native eSignature to be transferred to Document Records

We are considering to use the Checklist feature to sign legal documents which are NOT related to onboarding/offboarding and then transfer them to Document Records.

Does anyone use a checklist with native eSignature task type and then transfer signed documents into Document Records?  Would you be willing to share the configuration details and all the wisdom that comes with it?   I'm especially interested in the BI Publisher report  the rtf template, data model, the Report Path, etc..
