Inconsistency in populating adjustments date from UI & Webservice

Hi experts,

While creating adjustments from UI - It doesn't accept adjustment date to be older than transaction date.

whereas when the same adjustment is created via SOAP webservice - cloud does allow adjustment date that is even older than transaction date.

Webservice : https://<instance_base_URL>:443/fscmService/AdjustmentService

 

What might be the cause of this discrepancy. Any workaround would be helpful.
