Target rating distribution not working with Performance Calibration plan

Hi All,
We have setup performance calibration plan in compensation module. What we have observed that minimum and maximum rating distribution is coming from Profile Rating Model (Distributions Tab of the rating model) but ideally it should come from the task "Target Rating Distribution".
If compensation plan doesnt read value from "Target Rating Distribution" then what is the actual use of this task.
