No visibility of purchase requisitions with status 'Pending approval'

Summary:

As procurement I have multiple license types in my name so should have sight of everything. What I certainly don't have is visibility of purchase requisitions with status 'Pending approval'. If I go to 'Purchase Requisitions'>'Manage Requisitions' and enter a name in 'Entered by' and change status to 'Pending approval' the search never returns anything. The preparer whose name I enter definitely has requisitions pending approval and I've tried other preparer names but still nothing. Has anyone else experience this and been able to solve?
