From display name or From email address in object workflows

How to modify "From Display Name" for Object workflow email sent to customers

Content (required):

We have setup object workflows on opportunity which send email to customers based on HTML Email Template created but "FROM Email address" is constant which I understand cannot be changed to Salesperson.

But we would like to have "from Display name" shown as the user who created the opportunity rather than just showing this generic email address. We have already setup in Notifications/Administration/From display name to "Submitter" but it still doesn't work and does not show anything on the display name in the email sent but just ***.sender@workflow.mail.em2.cloud.oracle.com
