Job Posting Notifications - How to engage candidates to subscribe?

A couple of questions coming up as I start to test the 21C update with JPNs.

How do you engage your candidates to subscribe to JPNs? We do not have the "Preferences" page on the candidate application, as we've done our best to shorten the application as much as we can. So this means Preferences only live on the general profile page.

The general profile page is not easy to find. The candidate has to click their name in the top right corner of the career section, then click on Profile. Without knowing to do that, it's unlikely they ever find that. Even if they do, it could be confusing to a candidate on what a "general profile" even is.
