Seniority date - Original hire date Functionality

We are using Seniority dates Version 3 and under Original hire date in Seniority date page, It is showing 2 dates for employees -

1. Initial hire date as an employee or contractor.

2. Rehire date - If employee is rehired.

what is the oracle seeded functionality for original hire date - is it to pull only initial hire date as an employee or contractor or both rehired date and Initial hire date ?
