Ability to update Quantity partially received PO created through Drop Ship Sales Order

Summary:

Requirement: Customer would create SO for 10 quantities. Once the Dropship PO is created for this 10 quantities, customer may receive 5 quantities from the supplier. After receiving this 5 qty, the SO line is split into 5 and 5 - one line in Awaiting Billing, other in Awaiting Shipping. Now, user wants to update the PO quantity to 8 (5 already received and 3 yet to receive). Rest 2 qty, the user would create another PO with a different supplier and then receive it.

Raised SR# with Oracle, but it seems current feature is not supported.

Any suggestion/workaround.
