The Oracle free trial is a scam designed to trick you

I signed up for the Oracle free trial.

My free trial subscription was for the period 20/8 until 18/9 please see the picture:


Once my trial ended on the 18/9, I decided to upgrade my account on the 20/9 and I expected that a "new 30 days" would start from this point.

I setup my compute and storage resources so that the limits they would use would fall within the free tier limits. However on October 1st i received an invoice and was billed for my usage between 19/9 - 1/10.

As it turns out, the free trial subscription does not align with the billing cycle. So my free trial went from 20/8 - 18/9 however the billing cycle goes 1/9 - 30/9 and so they included my usage in my free trial with my paid account usage which I expected would have started a new fresh 30 day cycle.
