Knowledge Article: Splitting backing requisition lines under budgetary control

Based on the negotiation award decision, the backing requisition lines will be split either if they are awarded to multiple bids or if the allocated quantity is less than the requisition line quantity.

When these backing requisitions are under budgetary control, they are allowed to split among different awarded responses only if they meet these two criteria:

1.     Funds aren’t reserved for the requisition line.

2.     Encumbrance accounting isn’t enabled for the requisition BU.

If you try to split backing requisitions that don’t meet the above criteria, error will be thrown.
