Impact of activating a new Geography Hierarchy

Summary:

Content (required):

Hi,

As far as I've understood, once the geography hierarchy has been activated, the only way to add more sublevels on a country afterwards would be to duplicate the existing hierarchy, edit the draft version with the changes and then activate the new version. Is that correct?

Do you know if there is any documentation that highlights any negative impact/things to consider when switching from one hierarchy to another in production environment?

Thank you

Silvia
