Difference between Managed Salary and Change Salary under My Teams

Summary:

Hi All, I would like to understand the difference between Manage salaries and Change Salary within My Team. I think both are same. A Line Manager can change the salary of his/her direct reports from Quick Actions> Compensation > Change Salary. Kindly let me know if my understanding here is correct or not.
