Weekly Reporting instead of Daily

Dear Gurus,

Our Business team currently does the field activity/work status on WEEKLY basis rather than daily business owing to the nature of work that they do in field - which is a long lead time type.

Each activity can run for weeks /months and hence reporting daily is not relevant to them.

However, OFSC expects that we report every day for a given activity/segment.

Currently, if we do not report the given day's segment/activity we cannot move it from past to future nor can it be updated for its status (from being Pending or started) .

What we want to do it - have the activity started on the given day and after one week or so we want to report the entire week's progress in the OFSC. Is this possible to model?
