Limit amount of characters candidates can put in address lines

Summary:

We have an employee where apparently the 1st Line of address is too long and needs to be changed . We dont have had to manually go in and shorten the 1st Line and move it into the 2nd line. However is there a way we can limit the characters so they cant do this?

So they put Flat number, House Name and the first line of address EG

Flat 7, Orchard House, 1 The Street
