Summary: The Postal Code Geography Validation for country United States has been enabled and it lets user enter only 5 digits postal code while creating supplier addresses and throws error while entering less or more than 5 digits and that is expected behaviour .

The business wants to understand where else does enabling the Postal Code Geography Validation impact within Oracle other than supplier addresses such as address validations while creating locations , creating customers , etc .

Navigation for the above setup - Go to task "Manage Geographies" - Select Country as "United States" - Go to "Validation defined" option - Enable the Geography Validation for "Postal Code" and Select "Geography Validation Level for Country" as "Error" - Save & Close.
