Information - Area associated with Work Centers.

Summary:

Can anyone, explain the use of "Area" ( which is a mandatory requirement for Work center). Its not available in hierarchy, not available for reports and KPIs. But I believe there is some specific usage for this field, appreciate your support. Thank you.
