Search parameters on Manage receipt screen

On Manage receipt screen- we see a receipt number that has asterisks - only offer equals to or start with as operators. However, if we do add fields and add receipt number again - it opens up many operators to be able to search with.

Does anyone know if this is intentional from

Oracle or a buggy behavior ?
