Is there a way to identify if a person is part of someones organization hierarchy

Is there a way to identify if a person is part of someone's organization hierarchy in the IF condition of BPM

Is there a way to identify in the IF condition of a workflow that a Requester or Submitter of the person is part of one person's organization hierarchy

Say,

Melisa (GL Accountant) --> John (GL Manager) --> Cathy (Fin Director)

Dan (GL Accountant) --> Richard (GL Manager) --> Ben (Acct Director)

When Melisa or Dan submits a journal for approval, I want to find if they belong to Cathy's organization or Ben's Organization so that I could set the Top Participant of that rule to Cathy or Ben.
