Searching Employees - Only "Employed?"

How do you search for employees in a statuses other than Employed?

We have a few different employee statuses and when searching for employees, results are returned only for those in the "Employed" status. Is there any way to include other statuses in the results? We have hundreds of terminated employees and going page by page to find the page the employee is on is very time-consuming.
