Do we have a documentation that explains the advantages or significance of global payroll interface template based extract over the delivered GPI v2 extract?

Content (required):

Oracle has delivered the GPI v2 extract. Also they are giving provision for us to create GPI using the delivered GPI template. I would like to understand the significance of this? how exactly this is advantage over the delivered one.

Below are my understanding on the GPI template based extract.

  1. We have to create GPI template based extract for with respect to particular LDG. So this extract cannot be used as a global GPI.
