Update Item Attribute like length by contract manufacturer supplier

Summary:

We have a requirement, where once we define the item let us say the length during the item definition defined as 2 and the item data has been transferred to contract manufacturer who is defined as a supplier. After the production complete the contract manufacturer found the actual length is 2.2 and want to update this value back to item, how to handle this business case?

is there any option for the contract manufacturer to access the cloud environment to update the item with controlled manner? Any suggestion will be very helpful
