How can I copy formulas?

Summary:

In the report I have three columns: Actual in column B, Budget in column C, and variance in column D. Formula in column is [B]-[C].

Now I want to replicate it 13 times to have total year and 12 months. When I copy it, the variances in all 13 groups will be calculated as [B]-[C], so I'll have to go and correct each formula.

Is there any way to set the formulas so they'd copy formulas as a variance between two previous columns rather than two hardcoded columns?

For instance, in this example below I wanted to see a formula that would calculate variance between W and X rather than variance between B and C.

Howdy, Stranger!
