Does the Run Convert Pending Workers Automatically Process attach to the payroll?

Summary and content:

Currently we have Run Convert Pending Workers Automatically Process disabled. We are thinking of enabling this but I have the following questions:

1) If we enable this will the employee record created be attached to the payroll?

2) Are there any other downstream challenges this would introduce?

3) The scheduled process descrition states "Schedules or runs process that automatically quick converts pending workers matching the conversion criteria." where is the conversion criteria defined?
