Is there a simple way to update exempt status annually on W-4?

edited May 10, 2022 11:10AM in Payroll and Global Payroll Interface (GPI) 1 comment

Summary:

Oracle doesn’t seem to allow an employee to just “recertify” their existing W4 record for the purpose of getting a new date stamp. The employee has to make some sort of change on the W-4 form and potentially switch it back to exempt status. This is a poor user experience. Is there a better, easier to recertify their W4?

Content (required):

In the past, we would mail copies of the W4 to our stores along with a list of EE’s claiming federal exempt. The manager shared them with the EE’s, got a returned copy, updated the HR portal and stored the document for several years. Honestly, a sloppy way of doing this. Oracle should be easier and more secure.

Howdy, Stranger!
