Is simplified and standard multicurrency option depends on what EPM license we have purchased

Summary:

In Oracle docs I can see two options for multicurrency - Standard and Simplified. It does not tell me pros or cons of each one and just says that EPM standard is similar to what we have seen with existing PBCS application and some differences on currency dimension.

Its very vague and does not tell in what situation you can use which option. There is no best practice guide to suggest which option to have. And more importantly ,when I am on enterprise demo instance it selects currency option as 'simplified' by default.

Does that mean, if I am on a Standard license, by default the multicurrency option would be standard?
