Should we use multiple "Range" Grades on a single Job Code, and how to distinguish between them?

Summary:

To support Pay Rate Disclosures and correct below Min assignments due to Job Code consolidation, we are considering adding multiple "Range" Grades to a single Job Code and would like to survey the community on best/common practices.

Content (required):

We currently allow multiple "Step" Grades but only a single "Range" Grade to any one Job Code. We believe the use of Smart-Coding the Grade name could provide the ability to distinguish between Ranges, but would like to hear from the Community how others may be accommodating this requirement? Other options we are considering in descending order of preference is:
