How to assign manager if he/she get terminated

Content (required):

We have two level approval Hierarchy in system. However, the first one submit the worksheet and it will go two level approval.

we have two scenario here, for example if the person who is the owner of worksheet, have updated few employee, now he resigned, then how can we replace new Manager by keep data which was updated by Previous manager.

Shall we runt request "Refresh Workforce Compensation Data" by enter below Parameter

"Refresh primary manager hierarchy" and Specify Date

Secondly, what if approver resigned then how the new approver get populated?
