Can transfer order get schedule ship date from GOP engine without converting it to Sales order?

If a planned order is released from supply plan for transfer after modifying dock date of planned order for destination org making it as an early and aggressive request which is not feasible to achieve by source org, can GOP engine revise dates on transfer order in supply chain orchestration and make it feasible, assuming item is ATP enabled, ATP rules, sourcing rules are in place.

Or to get GOP support for transfer order, does transfer order need to be routed to create sales order?
