How to put the Deferred checklist in Inprogress list

Hello

We are facing the issue with offboarding checklist where a few checklists are in deferred status, based on our configuration the checklist should have been in Inprogress status.

While we are identifying the root cause, we need the checklist to be in Inprogress status so the respect HR can provide the details.

Is there any way? Please advice.
