The buyer assignment on Requistion doesnt match buyer assignment mapped to the commodity

Summary:

We have the buyers mapped based on commodity and a few months back changed the buyer assignments. A new requisition was submitted and the buyer that is currently mapped to that commodity is not populating, it's showing the buyer that was previously assigned. The buyer assignment was changed months ago and this requisition is new from today. Why is it not pulling in the correct buyer assignment?

Commodity and BU (we only have 1) are used to map the buyer assignment.

Buyer Y is no longer a buyer and not assigned to any commodity

Buyer was changed to X in March
