Collections, planningsourcesystems required to configure if scheduling is not part of orchestration?

Does Manage planning source systems, collections are required to Configure/run/scheduled to reflect Inventory org on the sales order line level? It looks like when ever we add new inventory org in Inventory management, we need to enable org for collections in Manage planning source systems and run the collections.
