Why approval notification task history displays current change order amount

Summary:

When we try to search the approval notification task details from BPM for already completed and open tasks for a specific document number - the approval amount on already completed tasks are displaying the current document amount.

Example. Created a Purchase Order for 1000$, processed a change order for 1500$ and approved. Created a new change order for 2000$ - at this point when we try to search the notifications tasks for all already completed tasks and check the details the notification information is displaying the amount value with current document amount i.e. 2000$

Is it an expected behavior ?
