How to Check and Repair EXT3/EXT4 Filesystem on Oracle Linux

The fsck command can be used to check and repair the ext3 and ext4 file systems. This article describes the steps needed to run this command on both these types of file systems.

To run a file system check and repair for ext3 or ext4 file systems, follow these steps:

1) Unmount the file system you want to check.
