Does Oracle Linux Include Anti-Virus Software As Part Of Its Distribution?

edited Jun 30, 2022 1:55PM in Linux

Some Operating Systems (OS) include their own anti-virus software as part of the OS distribution. However many Linux distributions, including Oracle Linux, do not include anti-virus software as part of their distribution.

Oracle Linux does not provide anti-virus software solutions as part of our OS distribution, including on our media installation or in our repositories. There are 3rd party anti-virus products that do run on Oracle Linux, and we recommend that you engage the product vendor of your choice for more details on a specific anti-virus product .

Our recommendation is to always keep your Oracle Linux servers up to date with the latest patches and security updates.
